Importance Of Giving Back

Before barging into the importance of giving back, let us start with what GIVING Back actually means. Giving back is when you give something without any expectations to receive, without any benefits and without any recognition. The biggest reward of giving back is the realization that you made someone happy or made a positive impact on someone's life. And No, giving back is not as same as Philanthropy or charity, Giving back is a commitment to fund, create, encourage, promote and fulfill. Whether that be helping someone fund their project or be encouraging your employees by awarding them with customized crystal awards, Giving Back is one of the best things in the world that you can do.
If you still ask why giving back is important then,
GRATITUDE
There is nothing greater in this world than realizing how much we have to be grateful for. When we are giving back, a sense of gratitude, compassion, and appreciation awakens in people. But this is only when we are giving to the people who are less fortunate than ourselves.
GIVING BACK TO GO FORWARD
We all have that one person in our lives who have taught us to “pay it forward” to the next one in need. We all have been there when we needed help, and someone helped us. So, it's our time now to “pay it forward” and continue the chain. Just imagine how many people in need will be helped. Here when I write help it does not necessarily mean money, there are many other ways in which you can help others. For example, sharing the knowledge you have gained and the mistakes you have made might help the other person to finish up their work more efficiently.
ALLEVIATES POVERTY, STRUGGLING, AND SUFFERING
There are many people out there living on the poverty line and even below the poverty line. They do not have food to eat, clothes to wear or even basic sanitation. For such people, we can help them to provide relief from poverty, struggling, or suffering. Along with donating money and food, we can also provide them with a job that might give them a head start and work miraculously for them.
ENCOURAGEMENT & RECOGNITION
When it comes to the corporate world, Encouragement & recognition is a way of giving back. This is not only beneficial for the employees but it benefits the company too. How?? Well, research conducted in 2017 said that 69% of the employees say that they would work harder if they were better appreciated and recognized. You can do this by giving Corporate Awards or bonuses.
Another way could be giving an extra day off in a month to those employees who want to volunteer for a social cause. Whichever option you choose, if you have employees who are eager to make a difference in the society, you will see a notable impact, which will not only increase morale but also will increase employee retention rate.
Apart from the above points, giving back will help you grow as a person. You get in direct contact with other human beings, which increases your emotional awareness i.e your care and consideration for others. Also, whenever you give back to the society, you experience a boost in your morale, happiness which lowers your stress levels which leads to increasing your level of well being.
Giving back to society is something we really need to consider looking into. No matter whichever way you look giving back has both benefits forgiver and the receiver. So, why not start doing that from now on??
